Freeroll
A tournament with no entry fee that still pays prizes — or, in a hand, a spot where you can only tie or win because you hold the same hand as your opponent plus a redraw.

Tournaments: freerolls are a low-pressure way to practise tournament play. Prize pools are usually small, but so is the risk.
In a hand: you’re freerolling when you and your opponent hold the same hand but you also have a draw to something better — for example, the same straight plus a flush draw. The worst case is a split pot. Freerolls are especially common in Omaha — see PLO5 Draws.
