Bluff
A bet or raise made with a weak hand to make a better hand fold.
Also: bluffing, bluffs
A successful bluff wins the pot without the best hand. Good bluffs tell a believable story, target opponents who can fold, and are chosen with a plan for later streets.
A semi-bluff is a bluff with a hand that can still improve — for example, betting a flush draw. It can win immediately when your opponent folds, or later when you hit.
